"Embracing Change, Maintaining Excellence"

We look forward to hosting a fantastic BSGE Annual Scientific Meeting, providing you all with a stimulating, interactive educational experience in an immersive virtual environment.

We have 3 days of gynaecological endoscopy to enjoy. Days 1 and 2 will include key note lectures from national and international experts, and a range of events ranging from debates, surgical tutorials, practical ‘tips and tricks’, free communications and our ever popular ‘Pecha Kucha’. Q&As will be a key component of our offering and your engagement will be pivotal. At the end of each day, a panel will provide a round up and review, debating topics and identifying the key take home messages. A ‘bonus’ Day 3 will provide a live surgery extravaganza with a range or laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic procedures from several theatres across the UK.

We have 3 auditoriums for you to access the largest choice of presentations and events that has ever been possible compared to previous ASMs. Furthermore, we have an amazing exhibition hall where you can access industry stands, acquire information about important technologies and have live web, phone or video chat with representatives. There will also be a networking area to catch up with old friends and practitioners with similar interests.

If that is not enough, we have a choice of 6 pre-congress workshops to attend including hysteroscopy, endometriosis surgery, robotic surgery, cadaveric anatomic dissection, RIGS intermediate laparoscopy and an Endometriosis Nurse training day.

So, get your study leave in and take a well-deserved break from work. We really believe that there is something for everyone.

Call for Abstracts

Call to submit your videos for the RIGS Video Presentation Session.

Abstracts are invited, from trainees of all levels, for the trainee video presentation during the RIGS Session at the BSGE ASM 2021. This will give trainees a platform to showcase their own surgical skills on a national level.

We will be selecting the 3 best video abstracts demonstrating an interesting surgical case, a useful technique or excellent performance of a procedure that is appropriate for the level of training.

Call to present your work at the Society’s Virtual Annual Scientific Meeting.

You can submit your entries for oral, video, and e-poster presentations. This year’s theme is “Embracing Change, Maintaining Excellence”.

The contributions can comprise of original scientific work, surgical techniques, audit, service developments, and innovations of any sort. There will also be the opportunity to scoop awards including “THE KARL STORZ Golden Telescope”.  The winner of the ‘Best Video’ presentation will earn this prestigious prize and join a talented few in history. In addition, they will receive a KARL STORZ-supported BSGE bursary to attend a KARL STORZ supported course, within Europe.

Call for participation in the Pecha Kucha Session.

Do you have a new, innovative idea that you want to take from concept to reality, please consider submission to our Pecha Kucha session. We are looking for interesting, novel and thought-provoking presentations showcasing your inventions, technological concepts or innovative ideas to advance minimal access gynaecology. This year, we invite the trainees to submit abstracts with the theme “The Apprentice”.

This fast paced session is for trainees and uses 20 slides with each slide getting 20 seconds to make your case.
